Soft Launch: GOLD BUG (Built on Graphene DEX)
Hi everyone!
I've just launched the soft launch of GOLD BUG, a new application built on Graphene DEX.
What it is
GOLD BUG lets users make predictions on the Gold/Silver Ratio.
The concept is simple:
- Open a position on gold/silver going up or down.
- Profit and loss are measured in GOLD, not USD.
- All trades are executed through Graphene DEX.
- Network fees are paid in GPH.
Current status
The app currently runs on TEST GOLD, not real money.
Positions are already written to the blockchain. At this stage I'm mainly looking for feedback on the product itself rather than trading.
I'm especially interested in feedback from the Graphene / RuDEX community:
- Is the onboarding clear?
- Is the interface intuitive?
- Is the trading mechanic easy to understand?
- Any bugs or unexpected behavior?
- Suggestions for improving the UX?

In GOLD BUG, you don't predict the price of gold in USD.
Instead, you predict how gold moves relative to silver.
Open a position on the Gold/Silver Ratio going ▲ up or ▼ down.

How a GOLD BUG trade goes through Graphene DEX
GOLD BUG doesn't keep trades in an application database.
You make a prediction on the Gold/Silver Ratio and open a position on the ratio moving up or down.
Here's what happens next:
• the position is created through Graphene DEX;
• execution happens on-chain, not on the application's server;
• network fees are paid in GPH;
• profit and loss are settled in GOLD, not USD.
Why does this matter?
Graphene isn't just used as storage.
It acts as the execution layer. Your position exists on-chain, while GOLD BUG provides the interface for opening, managing, and closing it.
🧪 The project is currently in soft launch using TEST GOLD, these are test assets, not real money.
The workflow is already the same as the intended production model:
Prediction → Position → Graphene DEX
